Kristien Van den Brande

Kristien Van den Brande is an independent writer, editor, dramaturge and researcher, based in Brussels. An ongoing interest in the (im)materiality, image and performativity of writing has characterized her work, which engages with a range of disciplines including literature, performance, expanded publishing, urbanism and sexuality. She does ongoing research about 'Support de Fortune’ (chance supports), i.e. forms of writing that take place on throw-away paper or in the margin of print. Together with Myriam Van Imschoot she set up oralsite.be and the supporting software olga (in collaboration with OSP). She is the co-editor of the book Time has fallen asleep in the afternoon sunshine, and she is a member of Sarma (laboratory for discursive practices and expanded publication).
