Tania Garduño Israde
Tania Garduño Israde (b. 1985, Mexico) is an interior architect and managing editor based in Brussels, Belgium. Trained at Politecnico di Milano (IT) and La Cambre Arts Visuels (BE), she returned to Mexico City and co-founded Index Architecture and Index Art Book Fair, working closely with Jumex Museum. She has collaborated across disciplines with Martino Gamper and Åbäke in London, the latter resulting in a residency at Bains Collective and a performance entitled Charlotte York Sera Presente. Garduño Israde’s work seeks to create a space from which to question architecture in relation to other disciplines, using publications as a tool and format for this interrogation. Professionally, she is the Head of Publications at CIVA, Brussels, leading the publication of the exhibition catalogue for Superstudio Migrazioni and A.J. Lode Janssens, 1,47 mbar. Previously, she worked as an Assistant Curator for the architecture exhibitions at KANAL – Centre Pompidou.
