Arquitectura Expandida Open Studio
17 July 2025

Thursday July 17th – from 17h00 on – Free Drinks
a.pass @ La Bodega: Birminghamstraat 30, 1080 Molenbeek
OPEN STUDIO by Bogotá based collective Arquitectura Expandida (AXP)
A qui appartient la ville? Who has the right to the city? This question and questions around the normalization of (police) violence are at the heart of the Colombian collective Arquitectura Expandida’s research residency at a.pass. During the Open Studio they will share their impressions of the Brussel’s context, compared to what they know from working in Bogotá.
At the midpoint of their artistic residency, in the framework of the a.pass Open Call, AXP invites you to engage with their research on the cultural and environmental self-management of the territory, and the violences that run through it — in a two-way dialogue between Bogotá and Brussels. Arquitectura Expandida is a Bogotá-based collective, working since 2010 at the intersection of art, architecture, urbanism, activism, and grassroots social movements, focusing on the research, exploration, and creation of alternative spaces for experimental governance, citizen participation, and self-management in public spaces.
Feel free to join us Thursday July 17th from 17h00 onwards to have a free drink and to get to know the work and research of Arquitectura Expandida.
